EDUCATION

Pets, especially younger pets should be provided with plenty of love and attention. During this period of their lives they are much like small children, that is to say they are a hugh responsibility.

The decision to adopt a young animal is not an easy one and should not be made lightly. Careful consideration, planning and research will ensure you and your family are ready for a new addition.

Unfortunately, as many pets get older their owners neglect them because they loose their cute features. We, as conscientious pet owners, must realize that older pets need TLC as well.

It is not right to adopt a young pet only to neglect them as they grow older, this type of behavior not only confuses the animal, it makes them feel as if they have done something wrong.

If you or a family member is thinking about adopting an animal but are unsure of the time commitment involved, it is better not to adopt at all.
