19^th ANNUAL SPCA DOG JOG DAY 

The Cape Breton Branch S.P.C.A. will host their 19^th Annual Dog Jog on June 28, 2009 at Neville Park, Whitney Pier. Pledge Sheets are available now! Anyone wishing Pledge sheets should contact the shelter at 539-7722.

This annual fundraiser is the highlight of our year. It brings the shelter and community closer in a fun way. The proceeds from this day go to the shelter for the animals. The DOG JOG Day begins at Neville Park with Registration starting at 12 noon. There will be several demonstrations and our Annual Dog Show. These events are free to the public, and we hope to have your support. Prizes will be awarded throughout the day to Dog Jog participants.

The Dog Show is free and open to all ages. Classes for this dog show are:  Largest Dog,  Smallest Dog, Best Trick Dog, Best Behaved Dog and of course our big highlight---the Costumed Dog Class. Best overall dog in the show will be awarded the Best in Show award.

The SPCA will host a Canteen on site and the SPCA Auxiliary will have a flea market, Volunteer is greatly needed for this day!!! If you wish to help out, please call us at the shelter
